3.3. Athletes under 18 need written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
3.4. Each discipline at a stage admits up to 60 women and 60 men in order of entry.
4. Programme and format
4.1. Bouldering: qualification on five boulders, 5 minutes each; final on four boulders, 4 minutes each.
4.2. Lead: qualification on two flash routes; final on one on-sight route, 6 minutes.
4.3. Speed: two qualification runs on the 15 m reference route; a final of 16 in elimination races with a race for third place.
4.4. The best eight of the qualification go to the bouldering and lead finals; athletes tied for eighth all go through.
5. Results
5.1. Bouldering: a top scores 25 points and a zone 10, less 0.1 for each attempt before it. Places go by points, then by the previous round, then by attempts on tops and on zones.
5.2. Lead: the result is the last controlled hold; a controlled move towards the next hold is marked “+”. Qualification places go by the geometric mean of the two route ranks, to three decimals.
5.3. Speed: times are rounded down to hundredths. A false start loses the race; a double fall, double false start or equal time is re-run. Athletes eliminated in the same round are ranked on their results across the event.
6. Series standings and final
6.1. A stage place earns standings points: for places 1 to 30 respectively 1,000, 805, 690, 610, 545, 495, 455, 415, 380, 350, 325, 300, 280, 260, 240, 220, 205, 190, 175, 160, 145, 130, 120, 110, 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50.
6.2. Athletes who share a stage place each receive the points of that place. Athletes level on total points share the place in the standings.
6.3. The best 16 women and 16 men in each discipline after five stages enter the series final, where points count double.
7. Officials
7.1. The organiser appoints each stage panel; the chief judge holds the national category.
7.2. Protests are filed in writing with the chief judge within 15 minutes of the provisional round results.
8. Entries and fees
